Eliud Kipchoge, a Kenyan athlete and world record holder, recently sold his first set of NFTs for a total of 17.9837 ethereum tokens. The sale, which took place on the NFT marketplace Opensea, featured some of Kipchoge’s most memorable moments.
Kipchoge’s 2019 record-breaking run in Vienna fetched $14.8837 ETH, according to a source, while the marathoner’s Berlin Marathon run won him 3.1 ETH, or over $6,500 at current prices.
Meanwhile, Olympic gold medalist Kipchoge expressed his gratitude for some important moments in his career being made available as NFT in a Twitter post. He expressed himself as follows:
