Dogecoin Price Launches Higher After Elon Musk’s ‘Dogefather’ SNL Tweet Dogecoin Nears All-Time Highs

Since Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted about his forthcoming Saturday Night Live appearance on May 8, the notorious meme-crypto dogecoin has seen double-digit gains in recent days. Musk tweeted on Wednesday, “The Dogefather SNL May 8,” and many people believe dogecoin will be discussed in any way on the broadcast.

Dogecoin now has a market capitalization of $50 billion.

Dogecoin (DOGE) has begun to rise again this weekend, with the token featuring a Shiba Inu puppy approaching the asset’s all-time high (ATH). Dogecoin hit its all-time high two weeks ago, when it was $0.44 per token.

DOGE has increased by more than 45 percent in the last seven days, with a 30-day rise of 537.92 percent against the US dollar. At a recent press conference, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell was asked about dogecoin, and Shark Tank star Mark Cuban discussed DOGE with Ellen Degeneres.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who often tweets about dogecoin, discussed his upcoming SNL presence on May 8 just before the weekend. In reality, Musk has been soliciting suggestions for skits for the show on Twitter.

On April 28, a Tesla executive tweeted, “The Dogefather SNL May 8,” which may be a nod to a future DOGE mention on the program. Musk’s tweet was cited by over 10,000 users on Twitter, was retweeted over 72,000 times, and had over 422,000 views at the time of publishing.

That day, a large number of people responded to Musk’s tweet. One woman from India said, “Your words offer life and energy to dogecoin.” “I put in 5,000 Indian rupees in doge. I bought it for 27 INR. There are only 184 doge coins in all. Now I’m in a trough. For major investors, this $5,000 is a pittance. But it’s capital I’ve worked hard for,” she said.

The woman’s tweet received over 4,541 likes on Twitter and was widely retweeted. The hashtag phenomena #dogefather and #DogecoinToTheMoon have gone viral on Twitter since Musk’s post.

On Google Trends, Dogecoin queries have the highest score.

Members of the Shibe Army, of course, contributed to the dogecoin (DOGE) trending on Twitter. “Elon Musk will carry Scooby Snacks to Saturday Night Live. “I guess I’ll just give in and get a little bag of DOGE,” one person said.

Another user tweeted, “Thank you #Dogefather.” “You forced me to make up for what I had lost. “Wishing you guys a million dollars.”

There are thousands of DOGE videos on Youtube, a lot of Shiba Inu posts on Facebook, and a lot of dogecoin mentions on Reddit and Instagram, so Dogecoin isn’t just making the rounds via shills on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the word “dogecoin” recently reached a score of 100 on Google Trends (GT), which is the highest a search query can achieve on GT.

On the 11th through the 17th of April, the word “dogecoin” caught the score. However, from April 18 to April 24, the word fell below 100, to 99, and the website predicts a pattern reversal. The total dogecoin (DOGE) economy was officially valued at $50 billion on Saturday evening.
